Need proof that #harmreductionsaveslives?
Numbers from B.C. have shown a significant decrease in overdose deaths despite the number of calls about overdose to 911 staying the same. In other words, the number of overdoses is the same, but the number of people passing away from an overdose is lower.
Harm reduction interventions in B.C. such as naloxone, supervised injections facilities and overdose-prevention sites are behind the decrease in deaths. S.K. needs to catch up with our harm reduction services.
